NYHRE has a critical job opening and we are looking for some great candidates. This new position is one of our three program directors and will oversee NYHRE's Case Management, Structured Interventions, and Policy and Participant Action departments. The position summary is below. If you know anyone who may be a good fit, please pass this along. Thanks.

The Director of Advocacy and Supportive Services is an ideal position for an individual with vision who is a hands-on problem-solver and wants the opportunity to evaluate a number of the agency's service categories, redesign and implement new policies and procedures, and manage changing programs. This position is responsible for evaluating and maximizing the effectiveness of NYHRE's case management and structured intervention services, guiding the agency's advocacy and policy initiatives, overseeing NYHRE's Peer Training and Leadership Program, and developing and leveraging relationships with external service providers to ensure participant access to effective, non-judgmental services. As one of the agency's three program directors and a member of the Senior Management Team (SMT), this position is key to ensuring that NYHRE operates in a manner consistent with the principles of Harm Reduction and that program operations are consistent with NYHRE's service model, which is based on educating and empowering individuals to advocate for themselves and make self-identified changes in their lives. This position is also responsible for modeling behavior consistent with an agency culture that values activism, empowerment, and participant-driven service delivery.
