Another submission from Mike Cooper: USA Weekend had a fairly decent article in yesterday's paper (Sunday) about Drug Users: Jail Them or Treat Them?. It also includes a phone poll asking whether non-violent drug abusers should get a prison term or drug treatment. The poll will be open until tomorrow night midnight eastern time (That's Tuesday, April 12). The number for drug treatment is: 1-900-773-5552, and the call costs 29 cents. I called in and was told that my vote had been recorded for treatment, and that only one call per number will be counted.
