The Massachusetts Cannabis Reform Coalition/MA NORML is holding "An Afternoon of Hemp Awareness," March 17, 2:00pm, at the El Morocco Restaurant, 100 Wall St., Worcester, MA.
The event will include free workshops on Legislation, Hemp Stores, Initiatives and Referendums, Local Access Cable, Internet & the World Wide Web, Mandatory Minimum Sentences.
The event will feature a Journalists Panel, including Al Giordano, of the Boston Phoenix, and Richard Stratton, of Prison Life magazine, and a keynote address by David Lenson, Professor of Comparative Literature at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and other of On Drugs, "a new look at the drug debate from a lost, and often forbidden, point of view: the users."
Workshops begin at 2:00pm, the journalists panel takes place at 3:45pm, and the keynote address is scheduled for 4:20pm. There will be appetizers and a cash bar. For more information call (617) 944-CANN.
